It's all a bit muddled and mush, if he gets right down to it, all a bit nonsense. But then, she is a witch. He doesn't know what she's been doing, but it's something a doctor couldn't do in a night, that's for sure. Something a soothsayer couldn't do in her caravan. So Tommy sips his tea and lets her speak her nonsense as if it will bring some clarity, half-blind eyes shut for the moment.
